  • Team 2017 | 2018

    Caroline is currently pursuing her studies for a Master of Law degree at the University of Fribourg with specialisation in  European law after having obtained her bilingual Bachelor degree at the same University in 2017. Caroline is fluent in English, German and French and has a basic knowlege in Italian and Spanish.

    Aleksandra (coach) has obtained her Bachelor and Master degree at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, where she also did her internship at a court and in a law office. Participation in the 22nd Vis Moot inspired her to continue her education abroad and she is currently finishing the LLM in International Contracts and Arbitration at the University of Fribourg. She speaks Serbian, English and French. 

    Shirane (coach) obtained a bilingual Bachelor of Law at the University of Fribourg in 2016 and spent her first year of Master abroad, in London and Stockholm. She took part in the 24th Vis Moot Court as a member of the CTLS (London) team. She is fluent in French, English and German and has basic knowledge of Hebrew and Swedish.

    David obtained his Bachelor of Law at the University of Fribourg and is currently in his first year of obtaining his Master of Law at the same University. He has been a delegate and committee president to an international youth parliament, served in the staff of a peace support mission in the field and in the national command authority for peace support missions. He is fluent in English and German, conversational in French and has basic knowledge in Italian.

    Patrick is in his second year of Master of Law at the University of Fribourg. Next to his studies, he is a member of several student associations. Since the obtention of his Bachelor degree at the University of Fribourg in 2016, he has worked for a leading law firm in Murten. Patrick is fluent in German, French and English and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.

    Louise is currently  a Master of Law Student at the University of Fribourg. She completed her Bachelor of Law in Fribourg with bilingual mention and spent her first year of Master as an academic exchange student at the University College Dublin. She is fluent in French, German and English.

    Kiarash Ghassemi Monfaredrad obtained his bachelor degree in Iran from the University of Gilan in 2014. Since 2015, he has been a LLM student in “International Contracts& Arbitration” at the University of Fribourg. Beside working on his LLM thesis, Kiarash has been translating a book on CISG from English to Persian. “Plurality of legal systems” and “Hermeneutic methodology” are two topics that he is specifically interested in within the broader field of Comparative law. He is fluent in English and has an intermediate knowledge of French and Arabic.

    Jessica Blankenbyl is a Master student at the University of Fribourg. She has worked for a leading law firm in Zurich during her gap year after having obtained her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Fribourg in 2015. Jessica is fluent in German, English and French.
    Simone Roviera comes from Turin, Italy.  He is currently in the last year of his Master's degree. He considers Contract and Arbitration law, the core focus of the Willem C. Vis Moot, to be two of the most relevant phenomena of our age; in order to foster his knowledge in this area he decided to come to the University of Fribourg, as an exchange student thanks to the Swiss European Mobility Program. 

    Josephine Rüegsegger is currently pursuing studies for a Master's of Law degree at the University of Fribourg. Last year, she completed an academic exchange at the East China University in Political Science and Law in Shanghai in the field of international economic law. Josephine is fluent in English, German as well as French and has a basic knowledge in Mandarin.

    Jonas Baumann obtained a Bachelor in International Relations at the University of Geneva, where he specialised in international law. Currently, he is obtaining a Master in Law with specialisations in international and European law at the Universities of Bern and Fribourg. Jonas is fluent in German, French, English, Spanish and Finnish.
    Anaïs Franck is in her third year of bilingual bachelor studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Fribourg. In 2013, Anaïs won the Swiss Championship in debating. Next to her studies, she works as a communication trainer, is involved in the Swiss and European Youth Parliament and was a representative for UNESCO youth programmes. She is fluent in German, French and English and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and Italian. 
    Alissia Gil is a third-year student and currently obtaining her Bachelor of Law at the University of Fribourg. Alissia is fluent in French, Spanish, German and English. 
    Maria Spiess is currently obtaining her bilingual Bachelor of Law at the University of Fribourg. Besides her studies she works as a student assistant at university. She previously completed bachelor studies in philosophy and sociology at the Université Sorbonne Paris IV and the Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. Maria is fluent in German, French, English and Romanian.
