CAS in Integral Economics

Our economies have faced a relentless series of crises: the global financial meltdown in 2008, the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, soaring inflation, and more. These events have shaken the very core of our societies, with some crises stemming directly from economic malpractice. This is why, now more than ever, it is crucial for us to reimagine the foundations of our economic systems and consider how we want our economies to operate moving forward. We are convinced that a better future can only be achieved through an economy that prioritizes sustainability and centers the human being.

We need an “Integral Economy”! An economy that is integrated into a deeper social framework – one that prioritizes relationships, community, and the common good over individual gain. The economy is, therefore, not just about generating monetary value but also about fostering a community built on shared values and common resources.

This course presents fresh perspectives and practical approaches to shaping tomorrow’s economy as a tool for fostering responsibility for our shared world.
