I had the privilege to attend the 49th Annual Conference on International Antitrust Law and Policy in New York organized by the Fordham Competition Law Institute (Fordham University) during the week of September 12^th, 2022. It was an opportunity to meet very dear former colleagues with whom I collaborated inter alia at the OECD, such as Frederic Jenny, Chairman of the OECD Competition Committee, and Andreas Mundt (who was my counterpart for international affairs), currently President of the Bundeskartellamt (picture). The conference included outstanding speakers such as Andreas Mundt and Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Competition, delivered inspiring speeches shaping the future development of the enforcement of competition policies in a world facing important challenges such as the sustainable development and more recently the inflationary trends, the energy crisis, and the political insecurity in Eastern Europe.
