Lecture – Memory, Transitional Justice and Bosnia and Herzegovina

This conference focuses on the politics of memory, transitional justice and the realities in Bosnia and Herzegovina more than thirty years after the war.

The panel discussion will feature Sévane Garibian, Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Geneva; Katarina Milićević from the Centre for Nonviolent Action in Belgrade; and Alma Draganović-Ćehić and Ajla Kuduzović, representatives of the Bosančice association.

Alma and Ajla will speak about their long-standing involvement in associations and as activists, as well as their personal and professional experiences. The discussion will focus in particular on coming to terms with the past, contemporary politics of memory, the denial and glorification of war crimes, and the responsibility of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and the entire region towards this shared history.
