Short bio

In 2020, I received my PhD at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) under the supervision of Prof. Michel Bierlaire (EPFL) and Prof. Shadi Shari Azadeh (Delft University of Technology). My thesis was about the integration of discrete choice models in mixed-integer linear optimization. Before that, I completed a 5-year degree in Mathematics (2013) and a Masters in Logistics, Transportation and Mobility (2015), both from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona). In 2021, I joined the Decision Support & Operations Research Group as a senior researcher to work in the Innosuisse project 36157.1 IP-EE on decision-support making towards a more efficient and sustainable waste collection. Since 2022, I am also a lecturer and I teach two master courses on my two major research interests: optimization methods and discrete choice models. In the same year, some other DS&OR members and I joined the Smart Living Lab to conduct research in the context of smart and sustainable transportation and logistics.

Main research interests:

  • Discrete choice models
  • Mixed-integer linear programming
  • Decomposition techniques
  • Vehicle routing problems
  • Logistics and transportation
