The Swiss Journal of Religious and Cultural History, formerly Journal of Swiss Church History (JSCH), was founded in 1907 and understands itself as a multilingual platform for religious and cultural history of all epochs. Since its foundation, it has always had a strong anchoring at the University of Fribourg.

Short announcement SZRKG 2024

In its interdisciplinary thematic focus, the SZRKG 2024 is dedicated to postcolonial religious memory: The contributions by authors from Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland are devoted to the construction, public use, contestedness and transformation of memory in the context of imperialism, colonialism and decolonisation.

About the team

Since August 2024, the SZRKG is working in a new team: Joël Mayo succeeds David Neuhold as the new scientific member of the editorial team, Jakob Neuhold is responsible for the website and David Hubli is responsible for producing a newsletter. The editorial team also includes the translators Iulia Malaspina, Tamara Renaud and Damian Troxler.
