Based in the well-preserved medieval and bilingual city of Fribourg, the American College Program (ACP)
offers students intellectually stimulating and diverse programs of
study meeting the high academic standards of the University of
Fribourg.
The Academic year or semester programs offer full immersion
in the French or German language, direct enrollment into regular
courses at the University and unfettered access to university libraries
and institutions.
The summer and winter courses, Survey of International
Organizations (SIO),
|
which are taught in English, provide students with an overview of the goals, functioning and significance of key international organizations in today’s fast changing global environment. The SIO
examines the achievements and failures of some of the world’s most
important economic, political and humanitarian organizations from an
interdisciplinary perspective.
Participation in the American College Program at the University of Fribourg provides students with maximum exposure to the cultural and political life of contemporary Switzerland and Europe.
