Doc.Mobility 2021-2024

The Doc.Mobility scholarships are aimed at doctoral students who are employed by the University of Fribourg as graduate assistants and wish to improve their scientific profile with a stay at a research institute abroad before returning to complete their doctoral work in our institution, provided that they are not already funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).


To be registered as a doctoral student for at least 12 months at the time of application

Not be funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)

Duration of stay

6 to 12 months

Start of grant

At the earliest 3 months after the deadline for submitting the project

Evaluation and decision

The requests are processed by the University of Fribourg's Research Promotion Commission during its biannual meetings. The Commission deliberates and advises the Rectorat. The final decision is taken by the Rectorate.


In 2022, the Commission's meetings will take place on:

  • 1 April 2022
  • 14 October 2022

The official decision is then sent, in writing, upon receipt of the Rectorate's decision, at the earliest 2 weeks after the meeting of the Commission.
