    Description

In this seminar, students learn about different working time models and the associated theories. In addition, the effects of certain working time models - including home office - on employees in terms of well-being, health and attitude towards the company are discussed. Also, the positive and negative aspects of various working time models for work organization are addressed.

The topic is treated both theoretically and practically. Students will go into the field and analyze real working hours and propose evidence-based changes where appropriate. Processing time for the small field study are provided.

Requirements to be fulfilled in the seminar to succeed:

Altogether, there are two requirements (and a third on a voluntary basis) that students have to fulfill:

    1_ preparing a podcast (max 15min) on a selected topic - teamwork

2_ carrying out a small field study (analysis and description of the work schedule of a self-selected enterprise in the field and elaboration of evidence-based proposals for change, if appropriate) – teamwork and/or individual contribution

3_ on a voluntary basis: passing an MC exam at the end of the course (45 minutes, 15 questions)

Requirements 1 and 2 will be evaluated and finally flow into the final grade of the seminar. Details of the individual requirements are available for download on Moodle.
