Presentation
The series NOVUM TESTAMENTUM ET ORBIS ANTIQUUS (NTOA) offers studies which
discuss the multi-faceted cultural environment of the New Testament with
scholarly precision and interdisciplinary methodology.
The Series Archaeologica (SA) follows this program in a specific way, presenting
material culture as first-hand archaeological evidence for the environment
of early Judaism and the New Testament. It includes:
- original excavation reports
- corpora of specific types of findings, buildings or objects
- studies in iconography, numismatics and epigraphy.
Designed as an international, inter-religious forum for scholarship in Biblical studies, archaeology, ancient history and Ancient Near Eastern studies, NTOA and NTOA.SA will publish contributions in English, French and German.

Einführung
Die Reihe NOVUM TESTAMENTUM ET ORBIS ANTIQUUS (NTOA) hat zum Ziel, die vielfältige Umwelt des Neuen Testaments mit wissenschaftlicher Prägnanz und interdisziplinärer Methodik aufzuarbeiten und für das Verständnis des Neuen Testaments und des antiken Judentums auszuwerten
Die Series Archaeologica (SA) entspricht dem Ziel der Reihe in besonderem Mass, indem sie die Umwelt des Neuen Testaments aus erster Hand anhand archäologischer Materialien darbietet. Sie veröffentlicht:
- originale Ausgrabungsberichte
- Korpora von Fundobjekten
- ikonographische, numismatische, epigraphische Studien.
NTOA und NTOA.SA richtet sich an Bibliker, Archäologen, Historiker, Orientalisten und Altertumswissenschaftler. Sie ist international, überkonfessionell und erscheint in deutscher, englischer und französischer Sprache.

La série NOVUM TESTAMENTUM ET ORBIS ANTIQUUS (NTOA) publie des travaux
scientifiques et pluridisciplinaires sur l`environnement culturel, politique
et religieux du Nouveau Testament et du Judaïsme antique.
La Series Archaeologica (SA) répond à ce but de la série en ce qu`elle
présente de première main les matériaux archéologiques concernant l`environnement
du Nouveau Testament. Elle comprendra:
- des rapports originaux de fouilles
- des corpus d`objets
- des études iconographiques, numismatiques, épigraphiques.
La série NTOA et sa Series Archaeologica s`adresse aux biblistes, archéologues, historiens de l`antiquité et orientalistes. Elle est internationale, transconfessionelle et trilingue (francais, anglais, allemand).
