    Description

    A maximum of 3 absences.

This seminar explores the intersections between occupational, health, and clinical psychology. What happens when employees are limited in their ability to work or can no longer perform their jobs? How can we support employees in returning to the workforce?

Rehabilitation psychology is an applied branch of clinical psychology. It helps people with chronic illnesses or disabilities improve their physical and mental functioning, cope better with their situation, and regain their social and professional participation in everyday life. We will discuss interdisciplinary collaboration as well as economic indicators and legal frameworks. Throughout the semester, we will maintain regular contact with real-world institutions and individuals to gain a better understanding of everyday life in the rehabilitation process.

Please note: A maximum of 3 absences is permitted. If you have more absences, you will be required to complete make-up work.

    EVALUATION

The seminar is graded in two parts. Students may choose to either prepare an oral presentation or conduct a classroom intervention as a group project (70% of the final grade). In January, the course will be assessed with an open-ended multiple-choice test (30% of the final grade).
