Description	The goal of the course Visual communication of data is to provide students with the theoretical background and practical skills needed to design and create efficient graphics that fairly present quantitative data. The course content includes an overview of classical and less classical graphic types available, guidelines on how to choose the best representation based on the type of data, tricks to emphasize specific messages without inducing bias, as well as major pitfalls to avoid. Practical exercises are carried out using Excel and other simple software.
