The Faculty of Theology mourns the death of its long-time lecturer, Dr Iso Baumer.

On 18 November 2021, Dr Iso Baumer, lecturer in Eastern Church Studies at the University of Fribourg (1988-1999) and at the Theological School of Einsiedeln Abbey (2002-2008) passed away at the age of 92 (* 4.4.1929). Until his retirement in 1999, he was a member of the Institute for Ecumenical Studies and remained closely associated with the Institute and its Study Centre for Eastern Churches. From 1994 to 2000 he was also General Secretary of the "Catholica Unio Internationalis".

The Requiem will take place on Wednesday, 24 November 2021, at 14h30 in the Franciscan Church (Rue de Morat 6, 1700 Fribourg).
