Maths Week

The Maths Week will not take place in 2020 due to the Coronavirus.

Introduction week into studies

Dear future students,

In order to facilitate the transition towards the student life, the Department of Mathematics of the University of Fribourg invites cordially all future students who chose Maths, Physics or Informatics as their main subject, Maths as their secondary subject or have propaedeutic Maths lectures to its Maths Week.

This week offers you the possibility not only to meet with professors and other new students in a friendly atmosphere, but also to familiarize yourselves with some fundamental notions of maths and brush-up your high-school math-knowledge. This will help you to understand new concepts at the beginning of your studies, and not only in mathematics.

The participation at the Maths Week is free of charge (the number of subscriptions could be limited), please register through the registration form below.

Friday morning takes place the official welcome of new students at the University of Fribourg. The program of this day will be communicated to you later by the Rectorate.
