Dr. Juan Marchetti is Counselor at the WTO Trade in Services Division, and has been the Secretary of the WTO Committee on Trade in Financial Services since 2001. He holds a university degree in Economics. His research interests lie primarily in the law and economics of trade in services, with particular reference to financial services. His publications include the book "Opening Markets for Trade in Services – Countries and Sectors in Bilateral and WTO Negotiations", co-edited with Martin Roy (Cambridge, 2009), as well as articles in journals and book chapters.
