Vlassios Phidas, former rector of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Orthodox Theology in Chambésy and visiting professor at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Fribourg, was awarded an honorary doctorate at the Aristoteles University in Thessaloniki on 26 May 2022. In addition to the professors of the Faculty of Theology, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew also participated in the official ceremony.
