We are happy to announce that the kick-off workshop of Dr. Oswald's research project 'Deniability in Argumentation and Linguistics' will take place on Wednesday 29 April 2026, in room MIS 08 0101 (Espace Güggi) from 9:00 to 17:00. The workshop will feature 9 talks by project members, project partners, and guest early career investigators.

This interdisciplinary 4-year project (2026-2029), funded by the Swiss National Fund, sets out to study instances of deniability in public discourse, which are situations in which speakers deny having said or meant what others have understood based on their prior utterances.
