Inhalt

This workshop offers participants an in-depth introduction to conversational agents, also known as large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, from technical and practical perspectives.

The first part will examine the fundamentals of LLMs to provide a better understanding of how these tools work. In particular, it will cover the foundations of generative artificial intelligence, including language models, machine learning and natural language processing, as well as the methods used to train and supervise these systems. The strengths and weaknesses of these tools will be highlighted to help identify their potential applications and risks. The second part of the workshop will focus on human–machine interaction and the various ways these tools can be used in everyday life and society.

The aim is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to encourage critical reflection on the role of LLMs in education and society, and to promote the responsible and informed use of these technologies.
