The University of Fribourg offers free access to two online platforms to support your language learning.

Altissia – Personalised Learning Paths

Create your own tailored learning journey with Altissia, based on your language level, field of study, work and personal interests. This is not a comprehensive programme, but a useful interactive supplement to other self-study resources or a language course.

Available languages
•    Levels A1 to C1: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch
•    Levels A1 to B2: Portuguese, North American English, Canadian French
•    Level A1: Polish

Licences are individual and limited in number. Regular engagement is required to obtain access.

Clarity English – Study Skills Success

This module helps you develop advanced academic English skills: speaking; expressing opinions; giving presentations; discussing ideas; critical thinking; independent learning; plagiarism prevention.

It's especially useful if you need to read academic articles, attend lectures, or produce written work in English. A minimum B1 level is recommended.
