Target audience
This course is open to all students and staff of the University of Fribourg and its partner institutions.

The course is aimed at people who have obtained objective level B2 in the placement test or who have reached level B2.

Course contents and teaching method
The course prepares students for the DELF B2 diploma (Diplôme d'études en langue française) in its current form.

This diploma, as its name suggests, corresponds to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) levels. It is made up of oral and written tests, organised in the form of tasks, which seem to be commonplace in everyday life.

The course will prepare you for the 4 tests (Written comprehension, Oral comprehension, Written production and Oral production).

After a description of the tests, advice and, above all, practical exercises should enable future candidates to tackle the DELF B2 tests in good conditions and achieve the desired result of obtaining this diploma.

Workload and Evaluation
This course requires regular homework (1 to 2 hours per week).

To validate the course, students must attend at least 80% of the sessions and pass the exams during the semester.

For this course, you must purchase the textbook Le DELF B2 100% Réussite (Nouvelles épreuves) 2nd edition,

Authors : Hamza Djimli / Nicolas Frappe / Magosha Fréquelin / Marie Gouelleu / Marina Jung / Nicolas Moreau

ed. Didier / ISBN : 2278102540
The manual is available from the Librophoros bookshop next to the Language Centre.

The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for Languages defines level B2 as that of an independent user.

This user can :

° understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation.
° communicate spontaneously and fluently with a native speaker.
° express him/herself clearly and in detail on a wide range of subjects, give an opinion on a topical issue and explain the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
