Content

Prerequisites: You have no knowledge of German and would like to have a first contact with the German language in the spring semester.

It is important to allow at least 2 hours for preparation and follow-up work and to attend the course regularly, as we deal with a new topic each week in the sense of a "fast course" - the progression is very steep and requires weekly practice at home. At the end of the semester there is a written test divided into reading, listening, writing and vocabulary.

Contents: Introducing yourself and others, including your family; expressing likes/dislikes; professions, colours, numbers and the time, the alphabet, making appointments, talking about food. Grammar topics include verbs in the present tense, the plural form, articles, etc.

Goals

After one semester you will have reached the first part of level A1 according to the CEFR: you will be able to communicate in everyday life in a very simple way.
