Mobility
Regional
BeNeFri is a network between the Universities of Berne, Neuchâtel and Fribourg. The aim of this cooperation is, in particular, a coordination of university training between the three universities. In real terms, this means that either the university teachers or the students can move from their home university in order to give or to attend lectures, respectively. The exchange is possible for disciplines for which an agreement has been made and for which the courses figure in a coordinated study program. The transport costs will be reimbursed by the University where the students are matriculated as long as the students have signed up to for the BeNeFri program at their corresponding University in advance.
National

International
During your studies, you have the opportunity to study for one or two semesters at a foreign university while remaining registered at the University of Fribourg. The time spent abroad and the courses can be recognized. The University of Fribourg participates in several international mobility programs:
- ERASMUS: period of study at a European partner university.
- I.S.E.P. (International Student Exchange Program): a fee-paying program for studying at a public or private university in the United States or circa 30 universities in the rest of the world.
- CREPUQ: period of study at a university in Quebec (Canada).
- Bilateral or multilateral academic agreements with universities outside of Europe.
You also have the opportunity to apply to be accepted at a university outside of the program. Information on the requirements, recognition of study achievements, grants, deadlines and formalities can be obtained from the International Relations Office. Another information source is the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), who mentor exchange students while they are in Fribourg and advise outgoing students from the University of Fribourg.
