Presentation March 7th 2012
PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The master in economics combines advanced courses in economic theory and empirical methods but also in more specific subjects oriented towards policy issues.
Special attention is paid to issues of rules and regulation of the commercial sector and the relationship between public and private sector.
Despite the specialisation, teaching strives to preserve the humanistic nature of the education, a strong tradition at the University of Fribourg.
The curriculum of 90 ECTS in economics also proposes specialisations in "Ethics and Political Economy" / "Public Economics and Public Finance" or in "Quantitative Methods and Economic Theory." The master includes semester courses up to 63 ECTS and a master's thesis. The choice of courses depends on the choice of a programme with or without a specialisation.
