FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
According to the Regulations on the organisation of studies and assessments, (Art. 4), the “Bachelor thesis is a personal and methodical study on a topic relevant to the chosen orientation. It must be written in one of the courses taken by the candidate.” It must therefore be a course of the curriculum and the subject must show a close relationship with the chosen field of study: management, economics or information systems.
You have the right to begin with the exams of the following year of studies, as soon as you acquired 36 ECTS of the previous year (plus a seminar paper to reach the third year). As long as you do not acquire at least 48 out of 60 ECTS in the first year / second year respectively, you can take maximum five exams of the next academic year. An exception is possible only on inquiry justified in writing (letter) to the exam delegate. A justification can be for example a change of the field of study or the place of study leading to pending tests for the first/respectively second year.
According to the regulations, a late registration is rejected "except if the candidate can prove that exceptional circumstances out of the candidate’s control impeded him/her from registering in time. The exam delegate takes the decision." These unusual circumstances have to be the subject of a written request to the exam delegate with supporting evidence.
