Within the SNF-Project regarding interreligious and intercultural relationships of romantically involved couples, I am completing my PhD. Generally speaking, my area of interest is relationship research. More specifically, I am fascinated by the construct relationship satisfaction and which factors influence it. In my PhD-thesis I am dealing with processes and dynamics taking place between spouses. This framework is based on the Vulnerability-Stress-Adaptation Model (Karney & Bradbury, 1995) and I am particularly addressing adaptive processes. One part of my research deals with how (inter-) culture is associated with dyadic resources and risk factors or other vulnerabilities which in turn influence relationship quality and stability. A cross-sectional and longitudinal design is applied looking at between- and within-dyad processes by using Multi-Level analysis and the Actor-Partner-Interdependence Model.
