Feature-based control of visual selective processing

Traditionally, three different accounts are proposed that may be engaged to select relevant information from an environment: Space-based theories suggest that all the information present in a circumscribed area of the visual field is selected; object-based models propose that selection operates on entire objects, and feature-based accounts suggest that selection relies on features such as color or line orientation.
Within the feature-based framework, this research project aims at investigating the detailed nature fo feature- and dimension-based mechanisms of selective attention.
