Business and Human Rights

Elisabeth Umlas
Mondays (fortnightly) 14:15 - 18:00          Room: Pérolles 21, F 130 / B 205

This course presents the state of the debate around corporate responsibility to respect human rights. It examines the multiple complexities that accompany the intersection of business and human rights, providing perspectives from civil society as well as from within companies. Through an exploration of both theory and practice, and discussion and debate based on real-life examples, the course seeks to introduce students to the rapidly evolving field of business and human rights, which is very much a work in progress.
