Research

Currently, several research projects exploring various Eastern European topics are being carried out at the Interfaculty Institute, both from an individual and interdisciplinary perspective. Work being done in the field of democratization and political change primarily focuses on Russia and Ukraine; the Balkans and Caucasus, the latter in cooperation with our partners from the RRPP and ASCN projects. Additionally our research addresses such themes as political elites, power networks, informal power and political culture.
