FIELD TRIPS
 
 

We organize every year introductory field trips and specialized field trips, as well as mapping exercises in the field and extended field courses.

MEETINGS

Every year we organize a series of scientific meetings, some of which on a regular basis such as the Swiss sedimentologists meeting (Swiss- Sed), or the Molasse Group meeting. SwissSed (organized yearly in February).
 

OTHER EVENTS

The Earth Sciences section hosts a variety of other “activities” such as: The Christmas party, the ski week-end, soccer tournament etc..  We are also closely associated with the Société fribourgeoise des sciences naturelles (SFSN) and the Cafés Scientifiques. We also participate in the yearly "Portes Ouvertes" of the University and the introduction to Earth Sciences for women in science (WINS).
