My research is focused on micropalaeontology (Ostracoda, Foraminifera, and other groups) in a classic taxonomical and applied sense. This allows for a better understanding of the biostratigraphical, palaeoecological and palaeogeographical evolution of Cenozoic clastic sedimentary systems in Europe (e.g. Upper Rhine Graben, Paratethys, Aquitaine Basin). Further interests concern geochemical proxies in marine Ostracoda, statistical assemblage analysis and morphometrical studies.
