One of my research interests is to unravel the role of organisms within carbonate systems and to understand their reaction to deposition controlling factors, such as sea-level fluctuations and climate change.
In my present research I’m studying examples of fossil (Upper Eocene of the Helvetic nappes (Switzerland), Chain subalpine (France) and Southern Alps (Nordern Italy)) and recent (SW Australian shelf) red algal- and large benthic foraminifera-rich carbonate depositional systems.
