Our
present research in Paleontology and Micropaleontology focus on 3 main
aspects :
The refinement of
biostratigraphic methods, which allow correlations of sediments. This aspect is
essential for integration into several other studies (e.g., oil exploration,
basin analysis, geological modeling.
Paleoclimatological and paleoecological reconstructions.
These tools are fundamental to understand the dynamic and evolution of
ecosystems and their biodiversity, also in the framework of a Global Changes
perspective. The evolution of life,
organisms and of the human beings, which are themes of general interest for the
medias.
