The
research group in Paleontology works on different group of organisms, both vertebrates
and invertebrates.
The
taxonomy of mammals (Ruminantia, Anoplotheroidea, and Carnivora) from the
Eocene to the Miocene of the Western Europe are one of our main topic. The aim
of our researches is to reconstruct the faunal communities evolution troughout
time and its relations to abiotic (climate and environment changes) and biotic
events (migrations).

We collaborate with the PaleoJura section,
the Project A16, and the Museum of Porrentruy
and of Fribourg. We also collaborate
in the protection and valorization of
the geological heritage (Geotopes).
