The Master (MSC) in Earth Sciences is 4 semesters, 120 ECTS, set of courses, field camps and excursions and include a 60 ECTS Master Thesis. Specialized courses are proposed in different domains of Earth sciences and can lead to a series of 5 different Masters in a joint program run by the Department of Geosciences of the University of Fribourg and the Institute of Geology  at the University of Bern ( BEFRI Master). The 5 master options include: Earth and Life Evolution (ELE); Earth Materials (EM); Environmental and Resource Geochemistry (ERG); Geology (GEOL) and Pure and Applied Quaternary Sciences (PAQS). Courses are given in English and start in the fall semester in September.
