Micropaleontology, Paleoceanography

My specialties are planktonic and benthic foraminifera and Bolboforma, their micropaleontology, biostratigraphy and paleoceanography. I have started my studies in Milano, applying traditional qualitative and quantitative studies of assemblages to reconstruct paleoclimates. Successively, at the ETH-Zurich I have combined them with geochemistry of shells, including stable isotopes and trace elements, for paleoceanographic interpretations and to monitor pollution, and at the University of Vienna I have applied statistic and mathematic to paleoceanography.
