Jon Mosar
Professor in Tectonics, plate tectonics and geodynamics

My research interests include the geodynamics of active and passive continental margins. I work on the North Atlantic passive margins, on Tethyan and Atlantic plate tectonics, on neotectonics and morphotectonics, and on the Great Caucasus- South Caspian. I studied in France , Switzerland and the USA ( Princeton ) and worked at the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU). My teaching duties include structural geology, introductory geology, and geodynamics of passive margins. I also organize and lead excursions, field trips and mapping courses.
