Regional geology, Quaternary, Geoarchaeology
I believe, today, Geosciences as also geoscientists must be interactive! Therefore my research combines geomorphology with tectonics, sedimentology with micromorphology, and quaternary stratigraphy with archaeology. After a multidisciplinary diploma thesis in the Swiss Prealps, I joined the archaeological community of Jura for a new challenging task that soon brought me back to geology: in the course of this work, I elaborated a Ph.D. project which gave me the possibility to study morphogenesis of dry valleys and landscape evolution in the Jura mountains. I am at present active in geological mapping in the Swiss Prealps, and in teaching general geology and Quaternary.
