Research
Research in our section is twofold, with one orientation towards fundamental research and one towards applied research. Fundamental research covers regional geology, tectonics and geodynamics, but also sedimentary processes, basin evolution and paleoenvironmental and paleoclimate studies (in paleontology and micropaleontology). Applied research is carried out in the fields of material sciences, with a strong pole in archaeometry.
We are involved in numerous international projects throughout the world ( North and Ouest Africa, Europe, Asia, North and South America).
