INTERESTS

My research focus is on historical (Holocene) glacier variations in Europe (Alps, Scandinavia) and southern South America and their connection to climate. Further I am interested in glacier monitoring and sustainable mountain development and global change.

Academic Qualification

2010 PhD of Science in Climate Sciences (Dr. phil.-nat.), Universität Bern. Doctoral thesis: "Continental-scale glacier variations in Europe (Alps, Scandinavia) and their connection to climate over the last centuries"
2007 Degree in teaching at grammar school level, Pädagogische Hochschule Bern
2006 Diploma (Dipl. phil.-nat.) in Geography (major subject), Earth Sciences and Physics (minor subjects), University of Bern

Projects

Current Projects
