Given the growing complexity of economically-relevant legal questions, the Institute of Law and Economics (idé, http://www.ideinstitut.ch/ide/fr/) of Fribourg University has covered commercial law, fiscal law, corporate criminal law, competition law and administration law since 2006.

Its activities include the creation of various fora, such as the Administration Law Forum, which explores the influence of administration law on commercial law. Led by Prof. Isabelle Häner (Zurich) and Prof. Bernhard Waldmann (Institute of Federalism, Fribourg), the forum organises special conferences on a particular topic and publishes the conference proceedings.
