About the course The two-week course provides practitioners working in the field of decentralisation with a unique opportunity to deepen their understandings of current debates on power sharing mechanisms, hereby fostering an important exchange amongst professionals and academics. The programme also equips participants with tools and methods to help them address problems hey confront in their professional activities. In addition to the faculty from the Institute of Federalism, a range of experienced international lecturers and practitioners will provide their expertise representing various disciplines, perspectives and country experience from different continents. The programme structure includes lectures, group work, panel discussions, case studies and field trips. In addition, a personal project is developed by the participants themselves and supervised by different experts. Course preparation includes undertaking background reading on important topics relating to federalism and decentralisation. |
