On 31 March, we successfully started the 2017 field season in Lombardia, Northen Italy: both ragweed and Ophraella are out!!

Lab trip: Lauberhorn

Joelle, Yan and Heinz went skiing on 19th March on the Lauberhorn (Grindelwald/Wengen)

Lab trip: Aletsch Glacier

A great excursion to Aletsch area on August 5 and 6 2015 (Swiss Valais), the still largest glacier of the Alps, but now just lost 1m in thickness only during July 2015!! Will thus soon be gone due to climate change. We greatly appreciated the guided tour by our MSc student Daniel Slodowicz, and the night at the Villa Cassel of the Pro Natura Center Aletsch http://www.pronatura-aletsch.ch/.
