Bachelor of Law
In the clearly structured Bachelor program (180 ECTS points), which usually takes 3 years to complete, a broad basic knowledge of the law is guaranteed. The essential basics of current law (Private Law, Public Law, International Law and Social Law) are taught as well as basic methodical competence.
Already at the Bachelor level it is possible to go more deeply into certain areas and to obtain a special Mention at the conclusion of the Bachelor program. This is possible in the following areas of study: European Law, Religious Law («Utriusque Iuris») and Bilingual. Several Mentions can be combined. Those students who are aiming for the bilingual Bachelor of Law may also complete the formation «bilingue plus»
The Bachelor of Law comprises the successful completion of the IUR I , IUR II , IUR III exams, as well as a preparatory paper and two seminars. The regular feedback allowed by the yearly exams helps the student to plan and to successfully complete the degree in the designated time limit.
Compulsory written papers:
In order to acquire the Bachelor of Law, a preparatory paper as well as two seminars (each 3 ECTS credit points) must be written. The preparatory paper is written within the scope of the Introduction to Law and should show whether or not the student is in command of the basic techniques of legal writing.
