Mobility within Switzerland
Students, who so desire can, during their studies, integrate a study programme of one or two semesters at another Swiss university. The framework convention concluded between the Swiss universities governs this programme.
Application procedure
Students registered at the University of Fribourg who wish take part in the Swiss mobility scheme should have at least accomplished the first part of their studies (IUR II or an equivalent level). They should register at the Office of International Relations of the University of Fribourg. The application form, application deadlines, and other useful information are available on the web site http://www.unifr.ch/international/fr/out/program/swiss-mobility
Swiss students who wish to study at Fribourg University should consult the information available and the application procedure in force at their respective home universities.
When the application has been accepted, the student can follow the selected courses (preliminary application or special conditions may apply) and sit the corresponding examinations at the university of their choice. It is important that students taking part in the Swiss student mobility scheme inform themselves, before their stay, about the details and procedures (admission to courses, examinations, etc.) in force in the host university.
Recognition of study achievements already accomplished
Students registered at the University of Fribourg should consult information given by the Commission of equivalent academic qualifications and published in a document entitled « Recognition of examination results within the framework of the Swiss mobility scheme: a student guide» available at the link « Recognition » in this section. The recognition of study achievements at the host university is subject to the approval of the Commission of equivalent academic qualifications, upon written request, after return from the study placement.
Students registered at other universities should consult the information made available at their respective home universities.
