Fribourg / Paris II

A double degree programme (both bachelor and master) Fribourg / Paris II University of Fribourg – Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II)

This particularly demanding programme imposes a hard rhythm and the rigour of intensive work. You will be confronted with academic, administrative, and perhaps linguistic difficulties from the very beginning and all along your study programme. When you have, however, surmounted these problems, you will find that the Fribourg / Paris II programme constitutes an extraordinary opportunity of intellectual and personal enrichment. Many students from Fribourg and Paris have profited from this possibility and thus been able to find good work positions in their professional career.

When you have finished your studies at Fribourg and at Paris, after having fulfilled all the conditions required by the regulations, you will be simultaneously awarded a Master in French Law of the University of Paris II and a Master in Swiss Law of the University of Fribourg. In addition you will be awarded a Bachelor of Law by the University of Fribourg and a corresponding title « Licence » by the University of Paris II.

One of the special points of this programme is the possibility of being able to start to study either in Fribourg or Paris II.

Application procedure

Students registered at Fribourg who wish to complete their studies at Paris can submit their application at the beginning of the 2nd year (November), after having passed all of the examinations corresponding to IUR I.

Students at Fribourg who wish to complete their studies at Fribourg (beginning at Paris II) can submit their application at the beginning of their last year at high school (November).

Once confirmation that a place has been attributed, the student receives a final application form which must be completed and returned to the Erasmus and International Relations Office of the Faculty of Law.

When the registration has been accepted, the student will be announced at the University of Paris II and can then carry out the necessary administrative steps (registration, choice of courses, etc.) and finally organize his/her own stay (accommodation, insurance, travelling, etc.).

Students registered at Paris II who wish to start or finish their studies at Fribourg should consult the procedure and the application deadlines in force at Paris II.

Once a student has been officially announced at Fribourg by their university, he/she will receive all the necessary information and application forms for their stay at Fribourg. He/she can then proceed with their registration and actively prepare their stay.
