Research

The Faculty of Law in Fribourg is very active in research and has many widely recognised publications and legal journals to its name. The research activities centre not only on different aspects of the Swiss Law – like Private Law, Public Law and Criminal Law - but also on the Philosophy of Law and the History of Law as well as on International Public Law and European Law.

An important role within the research activities goes to the different Institutes: The Institute of Swiss and International Construction Law, the Institute of Federalism, the Institute of European Law and the Institute of Religions Law.
