The guidelines on dissertations contain all the essential information on how a student who wants to write his dissertation at the Chair of Financial Management has to proceed. This document is designed to help students in their approach and clarify the requirements for the different dissertations. Students wishing to complete their written assignment at the Chair of Financial Management must imperatively read this document before the first meeting with a member of staff.

The Chair of Financial Management offers additional information on dissertations on a Moodle platform of the University of Fribourg (examples of former dissertations, possible topics, links). Access to this platform is restricted to students of the University of Fribourg and is protected by an access key. The key is provided during the lecture on dissertations or can be requested at any time from the assistants.

The award for the best Master dissertation written at the Chair for Financial Management or the Chair for Financial Management and Accounting for the academic year 2010/2011 was awarded to Mrs. Rosa-Maria Fernandez for his work entitled "Currency Risk Management of Non-Financial Multinational Corporations: A Case Study". The prize of 2'000 CHF is offered by Bank Wegelin & Co. Private Bankers.
