Research Interests

The origin of species is a central aspect of evolutionary biology. I am studying speciation processes and the evolution of complex traits using a variety of molecular and in silico methods. I am currently involved in a SNF funded project aiming at characterizing the porous species boundary between two closely related Populus species using next-generation sequencing technologies and computational analyses.
