Research
Overview
The Unit of Anatomy currently comprises four research groups working in the fields of neuroscience and kidney research. The main research themes are the color discrimination power of the visual cortex of "tupaia belangeri", the connections of an as yet unknown hypothalamic nucleus, the molecular and cellular mechanisms of regeneration and the role of calcium binding- proteins in brain and muscle. Some additional research projects by experienced collaborators are listed under these four research groups. State of the art equipment, spacious labs, enthusiastic collaborators and dedicated technical personnel characterize our research environment.
