Reduction of the tuition fee

Students eligible to apply for a reduction of the tuition fee must have completed at least one semester and no more than sixteen semesters at the University of Fribourg and must have a financial situation that justifies the request. (see regulations).

The deadline to submit an application is fixed on May 1st for the following academic year. Application forms are available online from March 1st until May 1st.

Students who perform their 1st semester in the fall semester may exceptionally apply for a reduction of the tuiton fee for the spring semester until November 1st. The form can be obtained by sending a request to the e-mail address reduction-taxes@unifr.ch.

The application must be renewed each academic year.
